DC3 Scenic Flights:  Auckland and Hauraki Gulf

We will take you ‘Back in time’ to when flying was elegant, personal and special. There are many things to do in Auckland, however there is nothing like the DC3. The city can put on some stunning days, when the whites, blues and greens of the islands, yachts, city and harbour make for fantastic photography. So for some, it is more a nostalgic DC3 flight experience. For others, the actual ‘low and slow’ flight , taking in the impressive aerial view of the city , islands and Waitemata harbour is their ‘Bucket list’ item.

Check-in is from 1015 to 1030.On arrival at our hangar at 458 Corsair Lane at Ardmore, the Cabin crew will welcome you with refreshments . After the Captain’s welcome at 1045, walk together with all the crew across the historic Ardmore airfield tarmac out to the DC3 airliner, for an 1100 departure.

Family and friends who are not on board, can watch the start, taxi and take-off from the comfort and safety of our hangar area and enjoy the photo opportunities around the DC3 when she returns. We can open up the aircraft tracking page on the computer, so people can watch the progress of the DC3. Ground crew will escort them out to the tarmac.
